Hi ive put a Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD in my 2005 350z now the nice woman wont talk to me or allow the bluetooth to work ! does this only work with the nissan head unit that came with the car ????

Have a look at the sticky about what you need at the top of this section and it'll give you an idea, not sure if it'll cover your model specifically.

Steering wheel controls only work with dedicated phone cradle or bluetooth unit fitted in centre armrest cubby whether it be bluetooth or old fangled phone such as Nokia.

 

Bluetooth unit can be bought on here for about £70.00 but tbh the 'nice lady' as you call her is still deaf as a post I'm afraid

 

It sounds like the system you have installed bypasses the OEM built in stuff and talks directly to your new head unit

If you still want bluetooth hands free with that head unit you have to buy the Pioneer BTB200 adapter, tells you all about it in the manual. I have the 4100DVD and it works really well with the adapter.
