FAQ: How do I load an Avatar?

Just edit a picture to make a suitably small file (100 x 100 pixels and 6kb max size) in .jpg format (JPEG)

 

Go to your profile and upload your own avatar!!

 

(Please ensure nothing too offensive......)

If you save the pictue as a GIF it doesn't go as pixelated, this is done by limiting the amount of colurs the gif uses. Looks better than a jpeg anyway

i got it to 100 x 100 pix but it is still 10.5kb in size

compress it using some free software? or post it up and someone will do it for you

this is why gifs work well. You can limit the numbers of colours it uses so getting the KB size down
