DI-NOC Carbon Vinyl experiment

I've had a play with this stuff. It's faily easy going on flat(ish) shapes but bl00dy difficult with big contour changes. Too much stretch in the material and you lose the lines in the pattern. I wrapped the door handle interior cups, mainly to match some custom audio fibreglass that i am wrapping also..

Very fiddly though, but with patience the results are great :)

ikarus, thats come out really well, what i did with the handle and wing mirror was just to have a play and see how easy it was to use, and i deliberately chose 2 difficult parts to wrap.

i will be doing a few bits of the interior as the plastic has got scratched. main ones are going to be the switch handles and around the door handles and tweeters.

if they go well i might order some more and do the centre dash

Door handles look great.

How tough is the vinyl, will it scratch?

considering that most parts on the zed are painted, it should be better wearing. same as with paint thaough if you rub it against an abrasive surface like a brick wall it will mark.

but it is thick, and when cold very stiff.

I love this stuff but agree, sharp angles etc are a nightmare. I've done a few bits in my Z to cover up scratched panels that were damaged inthe bodyshop.
