M13KYF Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Did end up going in to see this. They were bloody loud and seeing a racing car going down deansgate 10ft away at full thrap was pretty awesome. Tried to meet up with AndyC but we were at opposite ends of town. Once you found a viewing spot you didn't want to move. Very worthwhile trip all in all Quote

I especially liked the Chinese driver showboating and getting it virtually completely sideways on each side for about 150yrds. The smell of the rubber and fuel, but most of all the sound - like nothing else. There were obviously some people putting their fingers in their ears but all I could do was grin from ear to ear like a big kid from when the first one went past me, can't even describe it, but I nearly made a mess in my pants.
