static shock

when i close my door after getting out i some times get a static shock.......... any ideas how to stop this........ anyone else having the same problem............

used to get this all of the time when I had my Scooby - after a while you don't see the funny side anymore (it hurts bad!)

 

try touching the door (metal) before your foot hits the ground, and you should be ok. Depends heavily on what you wear, my footy shirt is a killer

before puttin your feet to the ground, touch the metal panels with both hands

my car is black too........ ......it duz hurt sometimes to............ there must be an earth not quite right somewhere......!

I get this on the Golf I own, after numerous months of trying to figure out just what wa causing it, I now take to touching the car on the inside with the key before I get out - almost habbit now.

 

I dont experience it on the Z though. So perhaps its the material on the seats (golf is not leather).

Yep, happens to me depending on which thong I'm wearing Like the others said, hold the metal part of the door frame then put your foot on the floor

I get this too, I've just resorted to getting in/out car jukes of hazzard style although I spent 5 hours in A+E last night with a broken jaw and arm after clipping the door and landing face first on the floor.
