Chesterfield Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Hi, In order to address the train of thought in this topic: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2937 We have decided to give our members the opportunity to alter the forum header picture. The way we shall do this is by way of a competition and poll. The winning design will be placed as the overall forum header for the next quarter. So, any budding photographers or designers out there, you have a canvas of 467 pixels by 102 pixels to work with. (weird dimensions, but thats the spec non the less). Once you are happy with your design, please save it in JPG format and email it to chesterfield@350z-uk.com. Closing date for entries will be in two weeks time. At that time, we will post up a poll with all the images, and let that run for a further two weeks. The winner of the poll will then see their work as the forum header. The reason we ask for entries via email is so that the subsequent poll will be anonymous. That way the work can be judged solely on its looks, and we also cant be accused of bias as its open to everyone! So - what are you waiting for - 467x102 pixels and in jpg format. The more the merrier - perhaps if you aren't confident enough with photoshop or the like, you could team up with someone who is, but doesnt want to use their own car? The cars dont have to be modified, in fact there dont have to be "cars" at all! Its open to every member, if you want your car to be considered, or even a photo of someone elses Z, just create a 467x102 image and email it over... And even if it is not successful this time around, the competition can be run every 3 months, so if you dont get your car up there this time, there will be further opportunities. Chesterfield Posted July 17, 2006 Author Share Posted July 17, 2006 Sorry Sarnie, its over the 467x102 pixel requirement. Seriously though - why not give it a go. The current image looks ok, as it blends into the white of the menu bar, so perhaps a harsh edge would not look quite so good? Time for photoshop... Also, dont forget, please email the designs over rather than posting them up here. Also if you are not happy with a design once it is emailed over, you can always email over another one before the closing date (two weeks today - so that will be midnight on Sunday the 30th). Only one entry per member allowed though, so if you do mail over several designs, be sure to let me know which one you want to go into the competition before Sunday the 30th.
