MacW Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Whilst installing my new stereo I've managed to scratch the area immediately surrounding the unit Doubly gutting as Steve sold the car to me in such great condition. The scratch (well, 2 of them actually) is really just visual, there's no depth when you run your nail over it. Anyone else been daft enough to do this and managed to find a product to hide the evidence? Quote
stanski Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Well get some pictures up mate - but simple trick is a dark grey or black crayon - rub it in and wipe off Quote
From A to Zed Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Others have used a kid's crayons to mask the damage... worth a go and a cheap fix. Matt Quote
Lexx Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Used to use black shoes polish to hide scuff marks on other cars Ive had. Not had to use it ont he Zed yet though. Quote

MacW Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 Great stuff, thanks a lot guys. Also, I now get to find out if I ever got over the temptation to eat crayons Quote
sunset350z Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 As long as you don't stick them up your nose you'll be fine, they just don't taste very nice And on scratching the center console Quote
MacW Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 I realise my tastes may have matured over the intervening years but I doubt they stretch as far as snorting coloured wax And they tasted just fine from what I can remember Quote
