I've seen a good wiki page which says which cars have different engine codes, but I don't understand how the extra power is achieved. Is the power a simple ECU change or are the engine components different at all? Thanks to any help with this query! Quote

Beavis Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 The GT4 was the first zed to get the 296bhp engine (previously 276 bhp). The main differences were revised pistons and different exhaust valve timing to achieve the extra 20bhp. I am sure there were a few other changes too. This engine came the norm for MY06 cars. Quote
