jdm auto, 1/4 mile times and tuning capabilities

hi all,

i have had my auto for just over a year, i have a popcharger on already and was thinking of probably getting a full exhaust system fitted, i heard somewhere that jdm ecu's to not cancel out power gains for exhaust systems and induction kits is this true,

 

also has anybody got any times made on 1/4 strips with their autos with or without mods, just so i know what i am looking to compete with when i next go to a show. cheers guys

The ECU cancelling stuff is a myth mate.

 

Best bet is a plenum spacer, induction kit, exhaust and a remap from RS Tuning

What you need is a paddle shift kit

 

Or an uprated 'valve body' which a lot of auto owners on my350z.com do... its about £1000 but it speeds up the autoshifts.
