No doubt Sarnie will offer some good advice Thanks Quote
nurrish Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Its probably cheap for a reason....Well it certianly looks cheap Dont do it Quote
Chris`I Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Dont buy it Cheap and nasty, wont filter sod all and the last thing you want is dust getting into the engine! Get a filter from a trusted trader on here and you know you are going to get good filtration and it wont kill the engine. The proper ones cost more for a reason Quote

N1SM0350z Posted May 1, 2009 Posted May 1, 2009 "These High Performance Air Induction Systems will eliminate the restrictive air filter boxes that are present in all vehicles today. By replacing the box with a less restrictive intake system, you can produce up to an additional 13 to 15Bhp This is accomplished by gaining 1 HP for each 10°F reduced. Each kit utilizes mandrel bends for a custom fittment for each particular vehicle." So does that mean they can reduce it but 130 to 150 F then? and even if it did work the ECU would cancel it anyway. They're talking sh*te. The logic does work WRT lowering temps, it does get you more power but only to a certain extent (I think it was something like 1BHP for every 5C decrease in temp), but obviously you can only get down to ambient plus a few degrees at best - so no it wont reduce it by 150F, maybe 60F. Also this wont flow more than the standard airbox, its quite well known that the standard airbox has plenty of flow. But in theory, with a good filter on certain cars giving more flow and lower temps can net you about 15BHP (Evos for example) Quote
