vasser Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I always see 350zs here. Must be where everyone shops in Aberdeen. Quote
Cara Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 I shop at both, but I agree that I always seem to see Zs at Tesco Danestone! Quote
JT1703 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Either or for me too but what the hell's going on with the foot deep potholes in the Westhill car park Quote
Stew Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Either or for me too but what the hell's going on with the foot deep potholes in the Westhill car park That's why I take the landie to Tesco! And they wonder why people have 4x4s! Quote
Cara Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 Exactly why Danestone is getting my business more and more, and also because the car park is massive (I park at the very far end so that the Z is all on it's lonesome ). If going to Westhill I just take the wee pug. Westhill need to get themselves sorted out Quote

But lately I've been lucky - nobody seems to want to park as far away as I do (lazy buggers don't want to use their legs!). Quote

ab350z Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I was in the Westhill car park on Sunday and hit my front lip on the pot hole. No damage done but there is a bit of previous paint chipping, thought about going back with the camera and demanding a bit of compensation. Quote
Johnny A Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 The roads in Abz are a complete joke just now, especially with low profile alloys I understand the Cooncil has bought a fancy new pothole repairing machine which is certainly going to have its work cut out. The Cooncil's "Online Fault Reporting System" is at this link: http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/xfr_FaultForm.asp?ID=3 I used it to complain about a really bad moon-crater-sized pothole at the junction of Baillieswells Road and Ladyhill Road a few weeks ago and it was fixed 3 days later. May have been a coincidence but I doubt it. Liberal use of words like "dangerous", "liability", "safety hazard", and "claims" is recommended. Definitely worth a go if there's a bad pothole on Cooncil maintained roads that causes you particular grief! Quote
JT1703 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I believe that the Tesco , Westhill craters are being repaired this week .. about time too Quote
Stew Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Aye, I was there today. Looking much better. Still about half to do though! Quote
Cara Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 Let's see how long it lasts........ proper repair this time as opposed to a slap-dash filler job? Quote
Stew Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Re surfacing the whole lot Cara. No filling. Hopefully it'll last! Quote
Cara Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 About time and here's hoping! Apparently for a while the Tesco staff were filling up the potholes with bags of gravel from B&Q...... Quote
Stew Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Not sure about that! At Inverurie they put cement in the holes... Looks tacky! At least they are doing a right job at Westhill! Quote
Cara Posted March 26, 2009 Author Posted March 26, 2009 They wouldn't dare do otherwise to the posh discerning folk of Westhill Seriously though, sounds good, hopefully it will be a decent job - used to be so handy nipping out there, but been avoiding it for ages. Quote
Stew Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 They wouldn't dare do otherwise to the posh discerning folk of Westhill You know it! Quote

Johnny A Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Aye, none of the "chuckies-and-tar-last-two-days-max" repairs the rest of us have to put up with! Quote
