S1 HNK Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Over the past few days when i drop the driver side window it goes down very slowly and has stopped at one point. I then put up and down a few times and it seems to go back to normal. But it does generally seem to be a bit slower than the passenger side which is working fine. Does it sound the motor is wearing out? Or something is stuck? Anyone experienced this? Any remedies? Thanks, Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Si, I had a very similar situation with my driver window, eventually it gave up working altogether, took it to Nissan and they changed the motor, quite an expensive job if you’re not covered by warranty… Have you got warranty on your Zed? Stew Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Don't think the motors are cheap.... ebay or breakers best option! Quote
martinmac Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I think R35LEE may have one, search his posts. Quote

Hunter Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 When i first got my zed it was doing the same and after a week it got stuck down and it was the motor that was busted, luckily it was still under warrenty! Quote
matth76 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I've got an extended 2 year Nissan manufacturer's warranty ("Premium Care"). Would this cover the electric window motor? I hope it does! Has anyone here claimed on an extended Nissan mfr warranty for elec window? My car's a 2005 year. Quote

S1 HNK Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 i'll have a look into it, the motors do seem to be about £200!! Having said that its the only fault i've had on the car which is fairly impressive! (touch wood) Quote
