One of my Brembos is fading .....

Noticed the other day that the the paint on one of my Brembos, near the top, is fading. To be more precise it looks likes its worn off!

 

I'm sure there's nothing rubbing on it. Its not stone chips (I've got those as well).

 

Anyone else had anything like this?

Mines fine. Are you sure it's not brake dust stick to the caliper. Why not try a bit of ploish maybe.

on an Italian Z I saw the writing "Brembo" on it being black instead of red.

 

The guy had been many times on track including the Ring etc, basically the paint colour changed due to extreme heat in on the limit utilisation

if you use an acid based wheel cleaner on a regular basis it can fade the caliper finish, seen this often on motorcycle calipers
