Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone likes my ride? It is a Fairlady Z convertible import which I got last December. Standard engine (so far! ;-), mix-match body kit and 20" Anterra 343's.

At the minute the car is still limited, and i'd like to know if there is a quick and simple way to de-restrict the car myself?? A friend of mine used to drive a Mitsubishi 3000GT and apparently, there is a yellow wire attached to the CPU which when cut, de-restricts! Any ideas as don't really want to part with £150.

Looking forward to any replies....

ok. Like the yellow! very tasty! don't know if you can help me with something else, my 350 has got quite small discs and pads and I have had some problems recently trying to get a local Nissan garage to help with parts supply - apparently, my chassis number only comes up on a computer in japanese. Surely, every employee at Nissan should be able to speak it fluently! :p:thumbdown:

Can you recommend any UK supplier for discs, pads & calipers etc. like Brembo? And any idea on what I can expect to pay??

Thanks,

Rich

Rich,

Personally I like AP as they are pretty much the best. Stoptech do a nice kit which the US guys fit. Not sure where you can buy from.

Try searching the US sites for ideas first, You can then either import or find a UK dealer. A good place to start is www.performancenissan.com both have acomprehensive list of upgrades.

Also, try PM'ing Rish he has a Japanese spec car so may be able to help more.

Hope this helps.

Hacked!? First I've heard, probably a good job as last thing I need is to be sending my c/c details for someone in Romania to get hold of. Need all the spare pennies for fuel nowadays! :teeth:

you need to fit a delimiter that will allow you to go higher than 117 MPH, they are fitted by cutting and joining 4 wires and cost around £150, you cant just cut wires as the car needs feedback.

i've checked on performance Nissan, but not sure if the hassle of ordering parts from America appeals. Are there any specialists in the UK?

What I meant was decide on the brake kit you like then search for UK dealers. The only brakes I have personally bought are AP's.

You could also search www.my350z.com Since a lot of US guys have upgraded their brakes. See what they go for.

Rich welcome mate!!! :D

Been looking at brake upgrades as I dont like the look of the "small" standard brakes, but these cost big $$$.

I have some steel lines sat around waiting to be installed and am also considering slotted discs and uprated pads which should make an upgrade unnecessary atm imo.

BTW, 2nd car I think the antera's look nice on!

Thanks for the compliment on the wheels! B)

I've got lots of ideas with what to do to upgrade the car, i.e. twin turbo etc. but all costs lots of money. A good mate of mine has a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo import, which he paid £7.5K for and its a lot quicker!:headhurt: So not sure whether to wait for a while and buy one of these standard for track days etc. Got to get married first though! :surrender:

Thanks Kev but got to wait for a couple of months as getting married in June so have to put money aside for that. Are there lots of parts available to upgrade the Z in this forum?? Will be interested in forced induction, maybe supercharger (if it'll fit) etc. etc.
