Good afternoon all,

I recently bought my 350 and it has a creaky bum. I have noticed I have a creaky sound coming from the back of the car when I go over bumps at slow speeds, if the noise is there at higher than 10mph I can't hear it.

I'm leaning towards the drop links requiring replacement? Does that sound about right? If so how much are a pair of drop links?

Thank you

Steve

You're right in so much that its the drop links, but a bit of grease usually sorts it. Certainly did for mine. Not heard of anyone that has had to replace them for them creaking.

Some other more mechanically minded people will be along to put me right if I am wrong though :)

I bought a can of spray grease and did this a few weeks ago, at both the top and bottom of each link - but it still creaks like crazy.

Do they make different thicknesses of grease or something, as i thought i had the boot peeled back enough when i did it...

i took mine to national and they took the drop links off greased them, put a drill on them to spin them for a few seconds, greased them some more and then put them back on and no more creaking. they didnt even charge me for it either :)
