wabox Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Hi all I am having an issue with my electric windows... The passenger side window goes up/down ok but the drivers side doesnt work. I have had the switches out and there is no loose wire in the harness connector and i have disconnected & reconnected the connection but still wont work. I have not managed to check the harness at the motor end, and im assuming its not a fuse issue as the passenger one work Help WB Quote

Ian Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Try banging the door, I used to have to do it to get the motor to start working again. Sounds like a motor fault Quote

M13KYF Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 seem to remember the motors are quite expensive, best option is to find a Z in a salvage yard or check ebay. Andy has one for sale but don't know if he sold it on the end. Pm him http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14221 Quote
bronzee Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Nissan quoted me £500 for a motor That sounds a bit ott. They're about that in Kiwi pasceos, theoretically they should be way less in Pounds. Quote
Cortez Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Having problems with my driver window too. Sticks when its fully down. Fine if you don't drop it down all the way. Auto-drop function works fine. A couple of hard slams usually gets it working again, but its getting worse. Just a thought on yours tho, Do the passenger & driver windows have different fuses? Quote
wabox Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 thanks guys I think it is a motor problem....I will put up a request for one on the for sale board Quote
