hagar Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Hi all I dare say this has been done and I have searched (honest)... Does anyone have a comprehensive guide to changing the pads front and rear? Also as I've seen a few mishaps with the jacking points, what is the recommendation for location of stands? Thanks lads Quote
Removed Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 have the pics for the jacking points @ home (in Scotland fr the week though) I just jacked the car up all day yestrday to fit my front lip and snorkel for the K&N. There's about a couple of places where you can safely put the axle stands Quote
l33r0y Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 As for changing the pads, the Brembos are no different to standard calipers when performing this task. If in doubt, do a search in this forum for the workshop manual - a link has been posted. Quote
Guest prescience Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Try here http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread. ... ght=brembo Quote
Guest prescience Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 If you're using axle stands to support (as you should) you don't really need the plastic safety stand adaptor insertions implied - spare wood, thick rubber etc would be quite acceptable I think I'd be placing axle stands a bit further under the car than on the stock jacking points myself - but there is probably OK and I don't have any pics. to show you where I mean as of yet Quote
hagar Posted April 11, 2006 Author Posted April 11, 2006 cheers these are bloody simple calipers, no more swearing and twatting em with a hammer in the freezing cold to get them off (yes the hammer was required first time the pads on the granada had been changed in prob 10 years!) Quote
