DixcelBrake Posted July 2, 2008 Share Posted July 2, 2008 After a very unfortunate start of the season with the engine hitting a slight glitch in the first race, we put everything back together and finally started our first race at Pembrey down in south Wales on 30th-31st June. We had 3 races throughout the weekend; we came 1st in all 3 races in the Honda class and 2nd in the first race, 3rd on the second and third races on Sunday. The positioning was largely due to the track being wet from the rain and the car was not setup for a wet track. We also had contact with another racer driving a MR2 turbo on the 2nd race, causing it to take-off to the sky and land on his roof. Subsequently we suffered a few minor scratches and lost our indicator cover. Video of the crash can be found here, our crash is on lap 4. M13KYF Posted July 2, 2008 Share Posted July 2, 2008 great videos. Shame about the crash you were having a good race and looked loads quicker through the bends and braking. The turbo on the mr2 did give it the edge at times though. He did cut straight in front of you which seemed only possible because he over braked for the corner, he should of checked the mirror doing a manouvre like that... Whens the next event?
