Mr A Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Due to some muppet who thought his clk's made of gold and that he shouldnt have to give way, Ive ended up kerbing/grinding my standard rays. Gutted , to make matters worse, he turned around and said "so what, they're only wheels, pal". cheeky w*nker. So, having calmed down, i was wondering if anyone has ever tried anything with thier rays, for example, refurb, powdercoat, dar chrome and stuff like that? what can i do to make them stand out? i was gonna go for 19"s, but if anything can be done to the standard 18" rays, then im a happy Z driver. Oh, and can i see pictures too. Quote
Lexx Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Refurbs cost about £50 a corner. Plenty of places do it, though Im from up north, so cant help with London. Quote
martinmac Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Not a problem mate, plenty of places will sort this. Will wait for one of the locals to come back but dont worry. Quote
Mr A Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 nice excuse to upgrade though once the tears stopped flowing, seems like kerbing the rims is a good enough reason to sort out something different. cant bare to look at them in the morning. Quote

Had a look at wickedwheels, looks good , suddenly ideas are rushing into my head at a rapid rate. might get them done in gun metal and then highly polished. Quote
martinmac Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 You see how easy it is, dont have a problem have an oportunity Quote
Mr A Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 You see how easy it is, dont have a problem have an oportunity yeah, you're right. do you think a gunmetal polished effect is possible? Quote
Neil Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 If it's slight kerb damage...you may laugh, but I got the local 'chips away' guy out and he did an awesome job. They can only fix alloy though, not chrome etc. £40 and he came to my house. I was happy anyway Neil Quote
