Hi Mods,

 

Having a problem where any sent PM's are now just sitting in the outbox and not getting sent. Was ok before, any ideas.

Normally means that they have not been opened by the person you have sent them too.

That's what they will do until they are opened.

The notes above are correct.

 

The process is as follows:

 

1. User A creates a message and sends it.

 

2. The message will stay in User A's outbox until user B logs on.

 

3. User B logs on and receives the notification that they have a message.

 

4. At this point the message is moved from User A's outbox, to User A's Sent box. It is also copied to User B's In box.

 

If your message is still in your outbox, it simply means the person who you sent it to has not logged on and been advised of the message yet.

 

(saves you sending them another message chasing up the first one, as you are able to tell that they have not yet been notified of the first one)
