lob4star
Hi all, Disconnected my battery to clean my maf sensors, upon reconnecting the battery the alarm come on when I open the driver's side door. I have 2 key fobs (sure there was a trick using 2 fobs in the past to resolve this but can't remember it). The fobs will lock and unlock the car no issue. The alarm only seems to sound when I hope the door. I have tried using the key in the driver's side lock but the alarm still sounds. I know there is no issues with my keys, I have looked online and found a few issues but nothing that has helped so far. Any help would be appreciated, both for me and the neighbours 😬
Stewal
I seem to remember after reconnecting the battery, you should lock/unlock with the fob immediately before opening any doors: that's always worked for me. Maybe try that after leaving the battery disconnected for long enough to reset everything again.
lob4star
At this point I'm willing to give anything a go so will try that later tomorrow afternoon in the work carpark (rather that alin the street at 6am) My work around so far is unplug the alarm box in the boot and everything seems fine, took it for a 5 mile drive around town, had it running for 30mins. mr v6
Have you tried (whilst the alarm is going off) putting the key in the ignition & turning it on?

No I haven't, I was worried this might do something to the immobiliser. It's in the shop getting some paint repairs at the moment so won't be able to try it just yet.
