ab350z Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Just got an estimate from a local bodyshop to have a Nismo (replica) kit painted and fitted. Said they'd need the car 5 days (Mon-Fri) and it'd be £350-400 for painting and fitting a lip, side skirts and rear spats. I've no idea if this is reasonable but plan to get a few more estimates. M13KYF Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 depends on how good the replica kit is. Some are good and some are bad. The bad ones can be a real pain to fit Quote
Chris`I Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Seems reasonable to me. I've heard of quotes of £300+ just to have a bumper done! Others will be along to give a more experienced view Quote
ab350z Posted May 6, 2008 Author Posted May 6, 2008 Yeah it is Fibreglass and he said that could be tricky. The front and rear have already been fitted to a Z and sprayed same colour as mine but could do with a touch up as they've got a few scrathes now and stone chips. Quote
tmJak Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 It cost me £500 to have VS V1 front lip, spats and rear lip painted and fitted but it only took 2 days. Sounds like a fair price Quote
Stew Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Sounds good. Is that Georges old stuff? Who you getting to do the work Chris? Quote
ab350z Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 Pro trim outside Stonehaven. Mate got some work done on his Golf there and looked spot on. Have asked for the same guy. Was a fibreglass kit he got and we lined it up in his garage and I thought no way it'll fit but they did a great job. Quote
M350ZB Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 And when you say front lip, take it your not getting the nismo style bumper, and do the spats and skirts look or ? also what about the spoiler ? Quote
ab350z Posted May 15, 2008 Author Posted May 15, 2008 Not at the moment, I'll get some over the weekend and post them up. Quote
