i've prob put this on the wrong part of the forum, but has anybody had a problem with their alternator belt slipping when the car is cold. i've taken it back to nissan twice about it and they never fix it properly. it's ok for a couple of days but starts to screech again soon after.

apparently it has a self adjuster and it should fix itself.

it's gotta be the most embarassing noise. is it a big job to replace the self adjustor? my neighbours are realy getting annoyed with me in the mornings!

i'm getting the same problems when starting the car first thing in the morning, just sounds awful :yuck:

i like the talc idea for fixing it, cheap and easy! but is this gonna be a long term fix or do you think it's gonna need properly looking at.

Cheers

There are no self adjusters on either of the Zed belts.

Both belts do have to very tight and are easily adjusted from underneath the car once you remove the lower engine tray.
