Found some of this in ma shed thought about trying it out on the outside faces of ma Ray's, any thoughts?

It's designed specifically to bond to headlights, so it might work on plastic trim but I wouldn't expect it to last on paint to be honest.

 

I mean it will be better than Rim Wax, but then again so is staring aimlessly at your wheels for 9.8 seconds every day for a week. Or something.

Not usually, no.

Ha I never spend that long looking at wheels, just looking to use it up rather than lying around in the shed
