Adding Coolant (rev up)

Howdy,

 

I'm after a bit of advice on coolant. I had a P3 around a month ago, all fluids drained and changed over etc. 

 

At the time I only had 5ltrs of coolant (Nissan). The mech said that the coolant may take a bit of time to flush through the system and I needed a new radiator cap. (which I basically purchased the next day and swapped them out) 

 

I checked this morning and I'm now at min level. I removed the radiator cap and there's coolant up to the brim. 

 

I've purchased another 5ltrs as it takes 9 in total. Am I OK to just top up the coolant by unscrewing the resevoir cap and filling it to max when cold?
