What does this fuse do...?

Hi

I am buying a new fuse link holder....after a drama of trying to find the fault........ I can see a bodge job on it with a cable tie......can anyone advise what this fuse protects please?

I think it is to protect things that have a permanent live feed, but i am not positive on that, zedmanalex will know for sure he is a trader on this forum
