Oil Sump Plug Washer

Hello Folks, 

 

Just a quick question regarding the sump plug crush washer for the 350z.

 

Past few oil changes I have just reused the old washer with no issues, however, I am wanting to use a new one for the next oil change.

 

Which orientation do these fit? The notch side facing towards the sump or the notch facing towards the head of the plug?
