H5 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I had a complete shock last week on two counts:- 1. After driving up and down the country all week in the Zed (listening to the sounds! ) I went to fill the car up and realised that I had done 422 miles on the tank of fuel. That can't be far off some kind of record! 2. It then proceeded to swallow £80 of fuel! A tidy 69 and a bit litres. First time I've got that much in it, and the DTE still claimed 35 miles. But it was the most enjoyable £80 I have spent with the Zed. nice roads, long drives and decent sounds from engine and speakers. Awesome. Quote
stanski Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Top stuff -that sounds like a record indeed I only get around the 400 miles mark per tankful - when I am doing sedate motorway driving to work and back - Quote
martinmac Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Sounds like you are listening to the wrong music bud Quote
Andy Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Switch the Barry Mannilow to some D&B or Chemical Brothers or similar and see it halve!! Seriously though, that is pretty impressive! Quote
Jay Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 WOW that is impessive I need to start listening to you music because when i have my beats pumping out well lol lets just say i dont get very much mpgs Quote
H5 Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 I wasn't even taking it that easy, but the M42 with it's speed restrictions to 50 probably helped. The induction kit playing is still very much part of the driving ritual! Maybe I should've stuck some livlier music, or taken Chris' Mike Oldfield CD out of the car! Quote
