GIXXERUK Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 usually just have o trim a small piece of plastic off the connector with a craft knife, i'm told its quite obvious ? Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Did you buy the OEM LED lights or are they an aftermarket set? Quote

M13KYF Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 deleted the other thread, where did you get your LED lights from? Some of the first ones for Europe had different connectors and needed to be cut/spliced to connect. Quote
coolcol Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 i have now taken picture for people to look at 1 with connector and the other is after i took conector off Quote
coolcol Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 from lights not from car the car as the standard fitting as in the picture tim posted Quote
lomoto Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Just get a multi-tester and see what wire gives power for tail light , brake light and just do a solder joint to each wire on your light ,it will only be a 10 min job Quote

M13KYF Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 how long ago did you buy the lights and are you sure they are OEM ones. I know that style of connector was on the early LED lights that came out in Europe and not here. It is possible to connect them like tim said. It's been done once before about 2 years ago by a member on a past forum Quote
coolcol Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 i bought them only 3 days ago from this post http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12885 Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Did you buy the OEM LED lights or are they an aftermarket set? They're not OEM LED lights, you've bought an aftermarket set. Quote
Sarnie Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 i bought them only 3 days ago from this post http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12885 The seller is american so the lights maybe USDM? Quote
coolcol Posted April 12, 2008 Author Posted April 12, 2008 is that good news or bad news can they be fitted to a uk car Quote
M13KYF Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 they can be fitted but you will need to cut the wires from the plug to get it connected properly. I would get a auto electrician to do it if you don't kow what your doing Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Do the lights that holdcroft sell come with the same type of connector as these ones? If so a link to the current possible group buy could be needed? Quote
M13KYF Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 the ones holdcroft sell just need a plastic lug removing with a stanley knife. No cutting of wires or removing plugs required Quote
