Jasjeet Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) My oil temp gauge is reading 110c on a cold start, and after a short drive starts to read 140-150c. It also fluctuates 5c either way randomly regardless of driving style. When I start the car, the gauges do the normal dance from min to max to min. I am not getting any engine management light and it’s not going into limp mode as far as I can tell even at 150c reading. Could the oil temp sensor be bad? Where can I buy a replacement? I looked but some sites seem to confuse coolant temp sensor and oil temp - are they the same sensors? Also, any help or guide in replacing it? Edited March 9, 2019 by Jasjeet Quote
ZMANALEX Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 New OEM oil temp sensors are showing in stock at Nissan at the minute. Best to fit OEM genuine Nissan and not aftermarket if your sensor is bad. Quote

Jasjeet Posted March 30, 2019 Author Posted March 30, 2019 Replaced the sensor, was easy, you do need a long 19mm socket to get over the plug end on to the nut part of the sensor. Reading steady at 90c now after a 20min run on the motorway. Quote
