New head unit install

Hi everyone..

i am am a possible new 350z owner, looking at picking one up in the next few days.

the one I’m looking at comes with the factory Bose unit with tape/cd, amp and sub I believe.

im looking at replacing it with a touch screen double din unit, possibly android.

if I change it, do I need a certain cable and connector to get the Bose sub and amp working the same way as they do now, is it a simple thing or do I need to solder wires as it’s not something I’ve done before.

ideally I’d like to remove the old one, connect some cables and put in the new one

there are no steering wheel controls so I won’t need them.

thanks

Lots of adapters available ranging from £10-£45.

The cheapest adapters will not include a connection to turn on the Amp in your car, so everything will work, but no sound! It is not too difficult to solder yourself an extra connection from the “power antenna on” on the head unit to the “amp on” on the 350z.

In case you do decide to wire anything yourself. Ive attached a partially complete connection diagram for the 350z which I found on a forum years ago. This has helped me to wiring in head units on 2 cars so far!
