Timing chain/tensioner query... need advice soon

Okay so my 350 has been hibernating for winter, now the orange stuff is about i have put her back on the road and getting ready for a few shows, however there is a rattle coming form the timing chain cover, almost certainly the chain rattling in there!

Few things to mention, car was serviced in September and has had less than 200 miles put on since then so oil shouldn't be an issue.

I ordered a whole new replacement kit (OEM) including all guides chains and tensioners, however it won't be here till monday, and i have a 2 hour journey to japfest on friday!

My main question is, is the tensioner at all adjustable incase the space is too far over the recommended limit (around 10mm i believe)

And is there any quick fix as such until after the show and i can get her seen to properly by the horsham or abbey guys?

I don't want to risk driving far distance with the chain rattling.

Might be worth mentioning thats its a TT 500+ hp build.

Thanks guys, any help much appreciated!

You will only be able to view the main hydraulic tensioner through the inspection cover.

Providing that it is not protruding by more than 15mm you will be fine.

As this appears to have happened "overnight" I suspect that you may have a broken tensioner/guide plate.

Your replacement tensioner/guide plate should be the uprated one as the early ones were flawed.

You would have to ask Torqen that question Ryan.

However, I notice that the kit in the link does not have the 2 x tensioners for the 2 x cam chains and also does not have the crankshaft sprocket.

Some also replace the water pump when in there.
