How to disable factory alarm

Can anyone help me. I've fitted a new battery to my key fob and it won't lock/unlock my car now. every time I open the door the alarm will go off until I switch the ignition on... I've got a Clifford system on it and they have been working fine together for the two years I've owned the vehicle, is it possible to deactivate the factory system and just run with the aftermarket set up and is it a manual procedure or will I have to plug it in to a obd system? Please help it's getting right on my nerves and no doubt the neighbors at 6am lol

Daft question, why run two alarms?

 

Sounds to me like you just need to re-sync the key rather than deactivate anything, especially if it was working fine before.

I would contact any of the specialists, Abbey or Horsham Developments for example as they may be able to disable the alarm through the up rev software, but i cannot confirm for sure.

 

However i agree it would be more simple to deactivate the Clifford or it may just be as simple as resetting the fobs, i seem to remember there is a procedure:

Battery is in the right way I double checked that. It did have the wrong battery in when I replaced it but I bought one of each (the one that was in it and the one it says it fit) cheers for the input

Thanks for reply's. To answer the question about two alarms I have no idea, I bought it like that and up until recently it hasn't caused any issues so I left it as it was. ill have a go at the reset procedure and if it has no affect ill have to get an expert involved. does it matter that the procedure looks like its for the newer type key fobs compared to mine?
