Driver Interior Door Handle Gap

I've just noticed that the door handle seems to be coming off my interior door handle where it meets the main door skin. Hopefully this picture will help explain:

 

 

 

Anyone what the best way to go about addressing this?

Take it apart and check the bolt that holds it to the door is not loose - just an idea
