A quieter cabin

Anyone help? I'm looking to put some sound deadening material under the carpets as well as over the boor/rear section. Has anyone done it? What material did you use? what thickness, 2,3, 4 mm or? what area did you need? Thanks in advance. Nigel

There's a massive roll of sound insulation in my shed waiting to be put in, so was actually a useful search/read for me too!
