Shifty6Speed Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 (edited) Anyone have any idea of the noise change to a system with the standard cats in place but the Y-pipe being changed for a straight through. How much louder and freer is it going to be? Taa. See videos in other post for the system with the standard Y-pipe... Shifty6Speed Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Apologies for the unclear title. Autocarrot is always ducking with my worms... Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
KyleR Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Standard pipe is already straight through, no silencers and no cats. Quote
Shifty6Speed Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Oh right. I was led to believe that the standard Y-pipe was somewhat restrictive!? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
Jetpilot Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Restrictive maybe in diameter, but no silencers or cats, so tone wont change. Quote
Shifty6Speed Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Ok that's cool. Because it's loud enough already! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
KyleR Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Oh right. I was led to believe that the standard Y-pipe was somewhat restrictive!? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk OEM is 2x 2.25" to 1x 2.5", aftermarket is usually 2x 2.25" to 1x 3", so a bit less restrictive after the join, but still bottlenecked by the cats. Quote
Shifty6Speed Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is all 3" or near to it before the join... Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
