I have the common problem of notchy gearchanges between 1st and 2nd and slightly 5th to 6th, ive pulled the box apart and as far as i can see only 5th to 6th synchro is a bit worn, my main concern is the amount of play on the shaft that slides into the spigot bearing, is this supposed to be like this or have i got an issue with the needle roller bearing that this shaft sits on?

im a little worried that theres not enough wear on any part to cause the issues im having, ive bever seen an input shaft with this much movement on any other car though so im a little concerned with it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
