bdabinett Posted March 10, 2006 Share Posted March 10, 2006 Someone mentioned posting some of the common warranty issues, so here's my first one. Synchromesh on 6th gear needs replacing. Symptoms? This is pretty widely known now at dealerships and generally they will assign a top technician or whatever handle (fancy title) they have to test drive the car. Based on that report and assuming the symptoms are repeatable - warranty kicks in, no problem. Removed Posted March 11, 2006 Share Posted March 11, 2006 I have had that intermittently, but seems ok now! haven't let it "grind" tbh, as when I felt the gear not going in, I've never really released the clutch, thus avoiding the grinding (apart from once! lol) Will change the gearbox oil to synthetic soon enough, and maybe if it gets worse I'll try the warranty route.
