Irregular hissing noise.

Evening all,

 

I noticed this morning once I'd got to work a hissing noise from what I think is under the car. It doesn't sound like a farty exhaust blowing. It's kind of (bear with me ) ssssssssss, ssssss.....ssssss, ssssssssssss sort of thing. There's no set pattern i.e on for 3 seconds, off for 5 then repeat. I was wondering if there's some kind of air or vacuum pump regulating something..

I think I know what it is. Listening to it outside, then sitting in the car with the windows shut & listening very carefully in the boot, it's the fuel pump, I'm sure . If not, then where is this purge canister?

I think it's at the back on the right of the exhaust but not 100%
