Fitting oil temp gauge

Im going to be fitting a oil temp gauge at weekend. Im going to use the spair bolt hole above the oil filter and have got a m 12x 1.5 to fit the sensor. My question is should i use any type of sealent on the sensor to the block.

I used a copper sump plug washer.

On the m12x1.5 to 1/8 converter and the sensor or just the converter

From block to adaptor was a washer. From adaptor to sensor I used PTFE tape. Sorry, should have been more specific on my first response

Can you please try to take a pic of that bolt above oil filter? Just want to see where exactly it is as might re-locate my sensor there as well.

Glad you posted a pic of urs i had just orderd an adapter from demon tweaks and selected short. Just sent them a email to try and change to long as i dont want the sensor interfering with the flow in the oil gallery
