Cubby Door Sometimes Not Opening

Hi Guys,

 

as the title says, sometimes in my 2003 350z the cubby door seems a little broken?? and doesn't want to open when i press the button any one know how to fix this? or is it just a nissan gimmicky thing

Mine used to do this occasionally, ...I found that making sure I pressed the button in slightly harder for a second got around it.

 

Otherwise maybe try a tiny squirt of WD40 behind the button/on the latch mechanism to see if that helps.

yeah thats what ive been doing and keep thinking i'll break it one day!

Then maybe try the WD40 using the "red straw" behind the button to see if it helps.

Mine does the same, I think the plastic catch doesn't retract fully. If you push the top of the door whilst pushing the button it opens.
