bushing cap removal

anyone no an easy way of removing this cap from the crank, pilot bearing tool wont budge it

Just fill the pilot bearing with thick water pump grease and use a drift the same size as the hole to force the grease to the back of the bearing and the pressure will push the bearing outwards.

its a pain in the backside the new pilot bearing wont even look at it until that caps of the end

Mine is manual think this has prob come from an auto by the looks of that cap

That is why I was asking.

 

The bit that you are trying to remove is called a pilot converter

 

Did you try the grease trick ?

Grease was to thin alex will get heavy grease from work the morra see how it goes

[ZMANALEX]

Cold, thick, water pump grease is best as it compresses much better that thin warm stuff.
