now I am not clued up on oil but i know recommended oil for the 350z is 5w-35 but I have a full 5l bottle of motul oil which is 5w-40 from owning my type r, can I use that for the zed or would you not recommended it?

Yeah, it'll be fine. 5W-30 is the recommended, but 5W-40 isn't a million miles away and I'd be happy with that especially as it's decent stuff.

I was told by Sly at Kaizer Motors to use 0W40 fully synthetic which works perfectly well for me. :thumbs:

Really, anything like that will do. Unless you're tracking 24/7, or FI, then pretty much anything around those grades will work on the DE/HR engines without a lot of fuss. I may not specifically buy those, but if I had some knocking around or could get it much cheaper in those grades then I'd happily put it in my car.
