  1. Hey Lexx,

    How is the family??

hello rest of you, you do all still seem to be here and i saw paulT has come back as well.

Is AK or as i called him scratchy still about?

think we have decided the black would be our choice so just need to sell the mx5 and sort out the rest of the money!

  2. still could have tried to lighten that picture a bit more!

yeah i was emptying out my full pm box.

    found some great old ones,

the year that i took the calendar by storm!

Found lots of random conversations between me and old friend jay, not spoken to him in a fair few years as he just started blanking me.

  3. haha so at least 2 of you are still about,

    How are you both?

Alex are you still running the twin turbo or have you changed up in cars?

I sadly never use my camera anymore, just have no motivation for it,

Positive though, i did marry Kat last year so thats a good one! (don't really need to presuade her for a change in cars)

  4. Hello!

I've not been on here in a very long time so not sure who is still around.

So, I've started to lay the groundwork with the wife that we should get a 350z

as looking into it the costs aren't much over what my mx5 costs.

(insurance would only be £200 more a year, tax £40 more a year, fuel only really 5mpg less)

Now I remember lots of stuff from years back and have whittled down my thoughts to 3 cars (was 4 this morning but one is cat D for same price as non cat D so nah!)

This one seem very cheap but that raises questions, It also looks very standard.

This one comes from here so I know she should be well looked after and she looks great.

    Lastly,

    http://www.pistonhea...---2004/4218174

I'm liking her, high milage will be what brings the price down but aren't those 3 spoke alloys off the import?

I definitely want UK model as can get it insured for circa £400 yet imports went to above £1k

I've been asking these questions when messaging (not got round to the one on this site yet)

    Hi,

I'm interested in your car but i've just got a few questions.

is the mileage as per the picture?

    Is the car fully standard?

When was the last service and what level was it?

Is there paperwork showing when the clutch was last changed?

any other issues with the car?

    Thanks

    Adam

  5. Hi Everyone,

I feel guilty posting here as i don't frequent this forum as much as i used too... might be as i still haven't got a z and also don't do really any photography work anymore and seem to have drifted apart from some old 350z friends, but i know last time i did a charity event you were all so supportive and brilliant.

I still lurk in the background and occasionally post, even used the wonderful Sarnie to sort life insurance (which may be required after this event!)

Myself and 4 friends are taking part in this and are raising money for Yorkhill Children's Hospital

The reason behind it is that they do fantastic work in Scotland for helping unfortunate, sick and severely Ill children. (just so you know what it is, http://toughmudder.co.uk/events/scotland/)

Some of you may remember from last time the story of my Neice Lucy, her heart failed when she was less than 4 months old and required a transplant and pacemaker.

i'm delighted to say that visually you wouldn't be able to tell her apart from any other 2 and a half year old, but she still is on a transplant heart and pacemaker to stay alive

and recent tests are showing that the transplant is not fully working and may need replaced far sooner than originally expected. (if you aren't aware of what happened there is more to read on my just giving page)

This is why i've set a target of £1300 as work will mat £700 of it,

this will give Yorkhill £2000 (last year i raised £3000, as much as i'd love to raise that again this year i can't do it on my own!)

There are a few things going on in the background as well to help raise extra funds:

My hair hasn't been cut for over a year and its now long enough to tie back/put behind my ears. I will be getting this cut before the night before the event, but if i can hit target of £1300 my hair will be shaved to a number 3 (so i can still seem professional at work)

The team (the 4 of us) are going under the team name "Monkey Butlers" and to keep with the name we have got tops made up (based on Rugby 7's tops) to look like Butler outfits. These have got corporate sponsors advertising on the back as the companies donated very generously for the spaces. After the event a 5th top will be made and auctioned off (it wasn't my original idea but one of the companies sponsoring says they want to bid and have it up in their office!) so more details of that to come.

    this is the website: https://www.justgiving.com/AdamRussell2012

any amount would be greatly recieved,

    Thank you & cheers

    Adam/ Rusty

p.s i'll take the go-pro with me and hopefully end up in some of their pictures, if so i'll post them up!

  6. Two people I know have been married in Cuba.

Last time i checked, you needed two people to get married!

Kat and i have been looking into getting married abroad, but again seems lots of places need you to reside there.

Italy you don't! we are looking there!

  7. Well i've found myself with a quiet week with nothing much planned.

I've not got back into my car work since moving back to the correct side of the border.

So i have time this week to do a few photoshoots if anyone fancies one?

It would be Glasgow based and i'd probably needed picked up as Kat will be using the car for work and Bike is in getting work done!

Thought to post in here so didn't get people south of the borders hopes up!

    first come first served really!

P.s tried to get hold of Jay as he used to always be first to nab the spot and has his new car but nae reply so up for anyone!

    Adam

  8. sorry to see the bike went down,

Glad it wasn't too expensive to fix up and Glad you are Ok!

I'm the same, i use Kevlar Jeans if not going too far or intending to go very fast to get there.

Then commuting i wear my textile gear, then for runs i'll put on my leathers.

I've got the same 2CT tyres as you, mine lasted for quite a while and i've just replaced them with another set as perfect for the year round commuting that i do but also very sticky when warm and on a run.

Mines in getting suspension sorted out and a nice service/brake overhaul. Had to time it with Annual leave so that i don't have to use a bus to get to work :p
