  1. Well as along as you don't see flames shooting out of the side off the car then should be fine. Also you find much difference with the spacer fitted?
  2. I fitted my own at the weekend, and there is no smell of any burning, also never came across any glue during the install. Only thing I would think that it could be is the ISO Thermal gasket, it has to be soaked in engine oil before install, it will be the one that gets hot, and maybe if there was alot of oil put on the gasket it may burn off. Only a thought.
  3. Don't pay £100 on fleaBay for the bluetooth adapter as they are around £80 new from the stealers!
  4. Yep, Shouldn't be a problem. My iPhone works fine with my Z and the Bluetooth module.
  5. Yea i've also heard that they have been clamping down on the old "Gift" or "Warranty Replacement" trick. Few guys I know have had other things sent with that written on it and they have been stung with the duty
  6. Best place i've found for the sound clips is youtube, plenty on there. Would be intrested to know the duty amount aswell.
  7. Well I am currently looking at them from the states also but currently waiting them to come back to me on postage. If they mark full price on the shipping documents then you will be liable for the VAT (17.5%) + Import Duty (5-6%) and that is on the full price including the postage. If the Royal Mail deliver it they will charge you another £8 for the privilege. So really depends how much they are willing to put on the shipping documents, but bear in mind if they put alot less and they are lost or damages the value they put is what is covered. Also as i'm sure everyone will tell you if you buy local i.e. UK then if there are any problems then easier to get help/return. But if you can get it cheap enough to make it worthwhile then go for it.
  8. From Big Phil think they are £850 You can get them cheaper from the States, but it's the hassle of the possibly getting hit with the import duty + VAT
  9. I've been looking one and if it is brand new then £650 is a good price. Where can you get it for that price?
  10. Just would like to know if any of you guys with the Motordyne Plenum spacer fit the coolant control valve or not? Says it's optional in the instructions and talks about if the temp is above 55 degrees that it should be closed for max performance benefits.
  11. Think the $212 was for the 5/16' ISO Thermal one.
  12. Ok thanks. Don't remember seeing the option when I had it connected to my Celica about resetting the ECU, so won't be holding my breath.
  13. Yep spotted that, exact same connector that was on my old 2000 Celica. Will have to try the OBD later to see if there is an option for resetting the ECU. How then does dear old Mr. Nissan reset it? They must be able to do it via the OBD as it is alot quicker than the other methods.
  14. Is this what everyone is talking about?
  15. Good question, usually they are around the drivers bay, all cars in the EU have to have the OBD(On Board Diagnostic) compliant since 2001.
  16. Cheers I already have one but can't remember the make of it, my father has it at the moment so must grab it back of him and check it out.
  17. My UK one has it aswell, wouldn't think that the UK cars would have a toll road sensor. I thought that if there was an option for auto wipers that it was the sensor, or even the sunshine sensors for the aircon.
  18. Guys I have read the procedure about resetting the ECU via the pedals etc. but does anyone know if it can be done with an OBD11? Would prob be quicker and easier to do if it can.
  19. Well if you talk nicely to Motordyne they will mark the value as $50, so now even if you do get stung with the custom fees it will only be around £17. Win Win!!
  20. $212 + $46 shipping Works out at about £130:D
  21. Was on the Motordyne website checking out the Plenium spacers and they have a 20% off sale on all spacers till the 5th July. Cheaper then buying over here.
  22. I know people rave about these spacers but really £195 for a thicker gasket! What are they made from thats makes them this expensive?
  23. Well was on another forum and there are people there who said that Mr. N had regreased for £80 as it is sort of a fault with the car, said this to my Mr. N and they said that they inspect them and if it only needed a regrease then they would prob do it for the £80 Am heading down tomorrow to grab some parts of them so might call in and talk to the service manager, to see what he says. Will let you guys know.
