Guys was driving to work this morning and because of the snow traffic was moving very very slow. I had heat then it just started blowing cold, it didn't start blowing hot again until I got moving over 20mph. Could it be a air lock in the system? If so how do I check? Cheers

I had the same one installed in my car when I bought it and it was a piece of sh1t! I got it connected, can't remember the code though, I just googled the model number and got the default code. Ended up buying the bluetooth module from Mr. Nissan, much better.

Guys went round to a mate of mine who has done some work on my past cars and he sorted the broken exhaust out. He basically cut the joint out and then welded a patch in place, tell you what it must have always been blowing because the exhaust is quiet as a mouse now! Before it got real noisy before it sounded pretty good, but now I'm not sure if I like it that quiet! Definatly improved the performance anyways, as before when it had totally gone it was noisy but felt so slugish. Anyways I have attached a photo of the repair, let me know what you think.

Just had a thought, I had the drive shafts replaced 2 weeks ago due to the clicky axle problem, I wonder would they have caused the exhaust to break doing them?

Had a quick look this morning and where the backbox joins the middle section, it's totally broken off at the flange. Gonna take it to a friend who does alot of work on my cars, he has a pit and a mig welder, hopefully he can patch it back together again! Could really do without trying to source a new backbox!

Which pipe? The Y pipe? If so is it common that the standard one goes?

Hi guys, Quick question. I was out driving all day yesterday and noticed that the noise coming of the exhaust (OEM) got really noisy around 2k RPM, before it was fairly quiet till around 3k RPM then you would get the normal rasp, but the rasp has gone and a fairly noticeable increase in noise has appeared. I haven't looked under the car yet, but nothing has changed, I loved the sound from it before, but now it sounds like little boy racer in his baddly modified corsa. Anyone ever had this happen to them? Cheers

Adam thanks for the link for the software, but at $400 I think it is too expensive for me, i have a OBDII and it lets me do the main things I need, was just hoping to get software that displayed it better.

Hi guys was just wondering if anyone has used the software mentioned above successfully on their UK Z? I have an OBD cable and converted it to fit into the serial on my laptop, i've downloaded the software from their site http://www.blazt.biz/products/datascan.php but when I connect it up it scans for the ECU but dosen't find it. Just wondering if it is my cable or if it won't work with UK Zeds.

Chuds I have something similar but seems to have gone away for the minute, if I pushed real hard on the steering wheel it went away which seemed to me that it was something loose in behind that. Try and push the steering wheel real hard when it is doing it and see if that stops the noise. Only a thought.

Could the fitting of the grounding kit affected it at all? Seems a bit of a coincidence that I only fitted the grounding kit yesterday and the error flagged today, I was driving the car all day though before the error fired. An other thought also is because of the heavy rain over here the last few days there has been a lot of ground water on the roads, I wonder has water affected the sensor?

Well I don't have high flow cats, the only thing that I have done was fit the grounding kit yesterday, hope that dosen't have something to do with it.

Guys was driving along today enjoying the Z like every other day and the engine warning light came on I have an OBDII reader and got the above code out and then reset the light, but my question is what does it mean? Is it a random error from an lambda sensor? Any help appreciated.

Yea it does but plenty of slack on it. The only slightly tight one is the one from beside the MAF to the front of the engine.

The engine will move under acceleration but as both points of the cable are attached to the engine then surely both will move together?

It was the only way I could figure that they could fit, it did seem a bit tight but fitted without being too tight if you know what I mean. It goes down to the front left of the engine where 3 off them come together. No other option I could see.

Guys after alot of head scratching and help from a mate I eventually got it installed, well had to work out exactly which cable went where as the guide posted earlier was for a kit that had 5 seperate cables, the Nismo one I got has 5 cables but some are already joined to one connector. Have a look and tell me what you think....

Hey guys just bought a Nismo grounding kit from one of the forum members, it has come off his car. Really need either pictures/diagram as to where it all attaches. Any help would be great.

Think they have to use a Decelometer and then take the car out the back and brake hard and as long as it stops within a certain distance, then it passes. There was a link somewhere to the UK MOT site and what was not meant to be tested on the brake rollers. Will see if I can look it out.

TT, You contact your insurance yet about telling them about the spacer? If so what was the bad news?

Well I only installed it on sunday, and am working in London for the next 2 months so really haven't had a chance to have a long run in it, but so far not a massive difference, better 'racier' sound to the exhaust though. Would love to stick a cold air induction system and NISMO exhaust in but really don't want to hear how much the insurance company would like for the privilage, at least the motordyne is stealthy to the common eye.

Ha Brilliant! Me neither, do hear a change in the note of the exhaust though for the better. I suppose it only apparently gives you between 11 -15 WHP and considering that as a % of overall BHP then it would be hard to notice the difference. Bit like sheep, people say it's the only mod that has an effect and everybody runs out and gets one, but sure something extra to put in our signatures:D
