  2. Very nice indeed. Like the wheels...what are they?? When's Big Phil going to open up a franchise in the Midlands?? Sunderland's too far away plus I can't speak the lingo.
  3. If it was Keith (good bloke IMO) at Holdcrofts he showed me the gunmetal grey coupe with the GT4 wheels a couple of weeks back.... looked very nice indeed. The GT4 wheels really suited the colour of car and gave it a more agressive look. Wont be changing mine until the Z34 370Z comes to the UK in 2010 so plenty of time to add more mods to mine. http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp ... le_id=6753
  4. Does that include the oars or do you have to provide those yourself?? It's a bloody good price though. I've booked a ticket for the Chunnel in June for a road trip down to the Stelvio Pass..cost £120.00 return......Grrrrrrrr
  5. If your engine is the 300PS (296) model it's the REVUP engine. If it's the older 276 engine the MREV2 will be of no benefit and therefore a waste of money.

  7. I had one fitted by our man Phil, and yes it does indeed improve mid range, on the butt dyno at least. I wouldnt say it gives a massive increase, but its certainly feelable and one of the few mods the ECU doesnt cancel out I have the Motordyne 5/16 spacer coupled with a Motordyne MREV2 Lower Collector. Both do improve mid range torque but I'm doubtful that you will see any gains in BHP as the ECU does negate any advertised power gains IMHO. The Lower Collector will further improve airflow to Nos. 1&2 cylinders on REVUP engines only. The only effective way to get full advantage of bolt-on mods is to get a ECU re-flash or send the ECU away. However do the moderate power gains to be had justify the costs involved in upgrading the ECU?? Kevin at Envy Performance was looking into offering a ECU reflash service some time back but not sure what the outcome was. You can go to 1/2 spacer but this will require a modified strut bar to clear the plenum.
  8. I know we're meeting up at Chester on May 11th but are any convoys being arranged en-route to Chester? I live in between Newcastle under Lyme and Market Drayton so I could either go to Chester up the A41 via Whitchurch or up the M6/M56. Could join convoy or start a Staffs convoy ay Keele Services or Truck Stop south of Whitchurch at the junction of the A41/A49 at 08.00 - 08.15. No worries if no can do, will just meet up with everyone at Chester. By the way, how many roadsters are going. I know roadsters will be outnumbered by the coupes but if the weather is kind to us I know who will have the bigger grins
  9. Looks fantastic. No better colour for the Z when it's just been cleaned.
  10. A lot depends upon driving style. If you drop the clutch at high revs the engine torge can cause the n/s flexi joint to fail if you have un-braced hi-flow cats. Normal driving (is there such a thing with Z owners?) should be OK but personally I would recommend using braced cats otherwise it's a long section of unsupported exhaust which will flex through engine torque and suspension movement and the weakest link is the flexi-joints. Question for the exhaust guru's. Can the failed flexi joints in the NISMO Y pipe be cut out and new, more robust flexi-joints be welded in place or is it not worth the time, effort or money?
  11. Tough lesson to learn Phil, but very true. Wont make the same mistake again!
  12. If you haven't seen me you must have heard me!! Mainly travel through Eccleshall to J14 M6 heading toward Brum early o'clock each day.
  13. The exact same problem happened with my NISMO Y pipe which I bought as part of a complete cat back exhaust through Z1 Auto. Although I have received confirmation from Adam that a replacement will be made under warranty I'm still waiting for the replacement FOUR MONTHS LATER!!! Have since removed the Kinetix hi-flows in favour of a set of ss braced sport cats from Envy.
  14. Hi Although I've just joined I've owned my Z from new for over a year. Also a member of the 'other' UK owners club but feel there's too much concentration on the new GTR. Don't get me wrong the GTR is a fantastic car but does not interest me at present and therefore I want a website dedicated to the Z. Mine is a late 2006 Universal Silver GT Roadster registered in March 2007. I have fitted Veilside SS Headers (Heat-wrapped), Envy SS Hi-Flow Cats (Braced and Heat-wrapped), NISMO Cat back exhaust, Motordyne MREV2 Lower Collector, Motordyne 5/16 Plenum Spacer, Optronics Grounding Kit, K&N Typhoon Cold Air Intake, NISMO Radiator and Oil Filler Caps. Later this year should be adding KW Variant 3 Coilover suspension, upgraded brake discs & pads to replace standard Brembo units, Goodridge SS Brake hoses, 19" wheels (not decided which ones yet) on Falken rubber. Will post some pics soon. Noticed the posting for the Welsh Road Trip and have put my name down so will see those of you who are going on May 11th.
