Does anyone have a picture of the Miltek with a Chargespeed rear? Couldn't find any with google......
My cobra non-res, XYZ and Berks are too loud, droney and raspy. Driving me crackers on the commute!!

Added a video to the first post......I think......hopefully it will work!

Ha, it sounds like mine has grown two more cylinders too Or that a banshee has got trapped in the engine!

Recently sorted out my exhaust woes after collecting bits and pieces for a while. The stock cats had loose heat shields and broken brackets.
The pops and bangs from the new set up are amazing. However, there is a lot of rasp maybe creeping into the realms of ASBO exhaust..
Berks Decats, Motordyne XYZ with HFC and Cobra Non-Res....
I find myself just blipping the throttle to induce pops and bangs as often as possible. I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon but for now it hasn't.
Only time will tell

Great service from Adrian/Torqen. 10 out of 10.
Just bought some Berks decats were delivered super fast and the price was the best I've found!
Will definitely buy from again.
Thank you

Ha, I only say Crapspeed as my old K1 was one of the worst fitting things I've ever come across! Lol
-
So, after my car hit 11 the driver side cat started rattling like hell all the time.
I got hold of a set of H-Dev decats and a Motordyne XYZ with HFC.
I've spent about 10 hours under the car the last 3 days. Got the old stuff off no problem, sensors out and all the new stuff on. However putting it all back something wasn't right.
Where the XYZ joins the cobra exhaust which has been on the car years it joins at an angle and the flanges will not align. The decats sit too close to the heat shields, the XYZ fouls the gearbox mount on the drivers side but miles away at the passenger side!!!!! Arghhhhhh, wound up is an understatement!
I reckon it must be the decats that are wrong a messing up everything else.
With OEM cats and a Crapspeed Y pipe I had no issues.
So next job is put the OE cats back on and figure out if it's the decats or the XYZ that's wrong. Really hope it's the decats.....

The only other things that can influence the Trac control part of the ECU is the ABS/speed sensors, but they usually either work or don't.
Thanks mate, that's what I thought too but like you say that either works or doesn't usually and there don't seem to be any issues there-well at least I don't think there are.

I doubt it's the yaw sensor, but a fair few things it could be. Where are you based Steve and has anyone plugged into it yet for any stored fault codes etc?

Thanks mate I'm based in Huddersfield. It's not been plugged in to anything. I think a mate has a cheap ODB2 system. Will have to check.
I guess these are codes that wouldn't show up with a pedal dance due to going inactive immediately after triggering?
-
The fault is so random, nothing for two days then 40mph round a long, shallow, & dry right hander ESP kicks. Nearly took me into the kerb!!!!
-
Yes standard steering wheel, nothing has been changed from the set up when this wasn't happening six weeks ago.
At first I thought I must have a goosed wheel bearing but all are rock solid.

Hi Everybody,
I have an issue, my ESP occasionally activates on right hand turns if going over 40mph. Long right turns tend to trigger it the most.
I've done the pedal dance and have no fault codes yet I keep getting this issue.
I'm running 245/35/19 front & 275/35/19 rears and been in this set up for about 5 years without issue. Had a bit of a Google and found one reference to the Yaw sensor but post sounded a bit flaky so thought I'd ask here.
Thoughts?
Thanks
Steve

Not yet mate, it's next on my list. I'm doing a house up and find time for anything at the moment is hard.

Eventually got round to resetting the ECU. No fault codes when checked always good news!
Sadly despite the MAF clean and the ECU reset the problem persists.. Onto the next option.
-
Thanks Mark appreciate the feedback. I'll get it tweaked when I get round to fitting them.
Thanks again
-
Thank you but I had the EML driven by O2 sensor switched off at the last UpRev so shouldn't be an issue.....shouldn't lol

Thank you sir!!!

Hi All,
I'm looking to remove the Lambda sensors and for once google hasn't show me the light.
Does anyone know the across flats size of the Lamdba sensors so I know which size socket to get.
Thank you
Steve

Hi Mark,
Just a quick one....famous last words.
I had my DE350Z uprevved a good number of yeas ago now, about 5. I'm planning on changing from stock cats to decats due to the car becoming a weekend driver and a rattling broken heat shield.
I know to get the best of them it would need to be remapped but if I chose not to go for the remap will it pose a problem having increased exhaust flow?
I can understand how going the other way, decats to stock cats, would need a remap but will it be safe the other way?
Thanks
Steve

A set of FK453 would only be around £500 so that with the refurb and wheels is still a good overall price for 5Zigen.

That's what I thought too.
I'll try the ECU reset first then if still an issue TB clean and relearn.
Cheers

Sorry to hear your news.
Try cleaning the throttle body, I had a similar issue ages ago and I had the throttle body cleaned after reading about others with the same issue (seems to be more common in the US). You'll likely have to perform a throttle position relearn after the cleaning too.
Thanks mate.
One question an ecu reset won't wipe the Uprev will it? I assume the Uprev changes the base map and is then hard coded onto the ECU?
Thanks
