  1. Thanks to the co-ordinators for all their efforts. Fingers crossed for sunshine and clear roads. Stand down the chopper squad
  2. For those who remember: Z cars!
  3. My Zed has some electric thick cabling in grey around the top of the engine bay. Looks like earthing cable but very heavy duty. Main Nissan dealers asked what it was for - couldn't tell them!!! Any advice plz? Ta. PM me.
  4. I'll have a chat with them, see what they are doing. Normally on a Sunday if the weather is good, we'd go looking for speeding bikers along the horseshoe pass / A5 especially and down along Trawsfynedd power station where there is a straight 2 miles strip [Caught a hyabusa once doing 205mph along here]. They like to hear about "convoys" for obvious reasons because mainly they attract spectators etc. Hopefully they'll come to Bala lakeside and take a peek. Once you have details Beavis, let me know various vantage points and times and I'll feed it to them if that's OK? I'm guessing you'll be going: St Davids / A55 / A494 to Mold heading for Ruthin / Corwen / Druids corner / Bala? A very scenic route to complete the circle, might I suggest: Bala / A4212 hdg West, then 4391 over the tops dropping down back onto A5 (via A4407). Then west past Betws Y Coed and North up the Conwy valley popping out onto the coast at Conwy then dual carriageway along coast all the way back to Chester? Only a suggestion - but the routes at its best on a crisp sunny day otherwise your into clouds!!!
  5. I'm a newbie and would love to be a part of this spectacle. Count me and 1 in. If you need local knowledge - call me, until recently I was the chief pilot for the police helo for N Wales - might even call the guys for an aerial shot down by the lake side. I can atleast warn you of the speed traps!!! I'll bring sarnies as I'll pick the convoy up en route as you pass my patch. Saves driving to St Davids and back again!!!
  6. Pirelli P Zero's all round. 245/35/20F 275/30/20R Silly money reasonable grip. Mania supreme wheels - gorgeous!
  7. New to the car [late 2004 - standard 350Z]. Just had a quote from Nissan main dealers for front and rear pads replacing: About £390! Been to two specialist car accessory shops who both quoted red or yellow stuff pads. Also seen adverts on E-bay from main dealers advertising same...all of these guys came in at around £60-£70 per pair. Total £140 for the front and rear. Even taking into account labour at Nissan..where did the £390 come into play??????? I think the pads were EDC or EBC??? [Ceramic particles in the pads]? Any observations gratefully appreciated.
