What’s the best way to jack for an oil and filter change – jack the front axel and support with safety stands?
Does anyone do this routinely and is it sensible / easy to do? Is the car being tilted a problem?
I’ve always changed my own oil and filters on my other cars, but the zed is much more difficult to get at.

Well in my case about 8 mins of gentle driving.

This chap seems to have gotten wise at last

No, this was actually on Ainslie. Did you see that Chilli Red convertible for sale at the garage on abbey road?
No, didn't spot, sorry. How much is it going for?
-
Another thing - the speed bumps on Anson Street and Bath Street are a nightmare . I scraped the botton of the car on one of them Seems a bit of a rough area?
-
Not me but did i see you go past on Ainslie street? I saw a rather dirty silver go past! If so, you can't have missed my red parked over the road
I certainly passed the junction of Ainslie street on Abbey road twice this morning - going south at about 10am and north at about 11am. I didn't spot you, though - its my first time in Barrow for a few years, so trying not to get lost You are right, it is filthy after the drive up the M6.

Going north between J14 and 15. I was heading south.
Anyone here?

How do you plug an iPOD into the Bose?

So why does that chart state wheel power as being 246bhp but stated engine (flywheel) power being 276bhp? That sounds about right to me, given the drivetrain losses and certainly doesn't show that early engines only produce about 250bhp at the fly...
But have a look at the Mazda 6 MPS, for example. Its "Wheel Power" meets its "Stated Engine Performance", whereas the 350Z is only at 89% using the same equipment and calculations. Something don't add up.
-
I'm sure yours is showing it at the wheels
Perhaps I need to get mine done again. Your report looks a lot more professional than mine
-
At the wheels not the fly? My 03 car made 284 at the fly
At the fly.
If you know how to recover that 10%, I'd love to know.
-
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The 2003 cars will only produce about 255hp at the fly. For some reason (and it may be because Nissan have exaggerated) the engine underperforms by 10%. My car is only 255ish, and I've seen several other people post similar figures.
This was posted a while back by martinmac, and supports this theory...

More pics? With or without Zed would be good.
Without Zed. The front view of the hall and the courtyard. There is a spa with swiming pool converted out of the stable block. It really is a rather nice place.

So not far from the Cedar Tree? I spent a great deal of my youth in that club (but it was called the Corbets in those days). I've not been there for years. Is it still going?
